Sunflower of Westchester · Valhalla, NY
We help Westchester County families grow stronger through accessible mental health care, youth mentorship, and neighbor-to-neighbor support — regardless of income, language, or background.
Our Mission
Sunflower of Westchester exists to remove the everyday barriers that keep families from mental wellness and economic stability. We pair licensed counseling with practical support — food, mentorship, parenting workshops, senior care — so that getting help feels less like an emergency and more like a community walking alongside you.
What We Do
Our work is organized around four programs that reinforce one another. A teenager joining our after-school mentorship may also see one of our counselors; a parent coming for a food pantry visit may stay for a Spanish-language parenting circle.

Sliding-scale individual, couples, and family counseling delivered by licensed clinicians. Bilingual English/Spanish sessions available, with no insurance required for sliding-scale clients.

After-school mentorship, teen DBT skills groups, art and writing workshops, and college-readiness coaching for Westchester students from 5th through 12th grade.

Caregiver circles, parenting workshops, senior wellness mornings, and a weekly food pantry that pairs nutrition with case-managed referrals to long-term resources.

Trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, gardening therapy, and creative-arts groups designed to complement clinical care and rebuild a sense of safety and belonging.
